Artwork/Disk/Film/Brass
Die Storage All
artwork and submitted computer disks are returned after the job has
been completed. Unless instructed otherwise, brass dies and submitted
filmwork (including process films) are kept for three years. At that
point, if we have not received a request for return, materials are
discarded.
Camera-Ready
Keylined Art
Black
and white art that is clean, color separated with traps, and sized to
fit is considered camera-ready. Artwork with rough edges, holes or tape
is not considered camera-ready. We are able to clean up some rough
artwork and will notify you if additional charges will be incurred.
Changes
or Cancellations
Changes
to orders in progress may require additional charges and/or time. You
will be billed for actual work performed on orders canceled in progress.
Damaged
Goods
If
your shipment has been damaged in transit, please mark the shipper
"Received Damaged" and call us immediately. We'll provide you with
further instructions.
Electronic
Artwork
You
may submit your artwork on computer disk for an additional charge.
Charges are based on the number of films and complexity of the file
set-up. We will call you with additional charges before we output
films. Helpful tip sheets and electronic templates are also available
to assist you with file submission. Please include laser proofs of your
current file off of submitted disks. We recommend that you retain your
original file and send us a copy in case of lost or damaged disks.
Normal production time begins with acceptable film output from your
file.
Estimates
Most
pricing can be handled immediately. On some items, with some
enhancements, pricing will be handled by our Estimating Department. All
estimates will be returned within one business day. Rush service is
available if required.
Film
Submission
Submit
films right reading (emulsion down), sized to fit the item, plus 1/8"
bleeds. A 150-line screen is recommended. Be certain all traps (color
fits) have been applied; one-to-one color fits may not register on
press. When combining an overall or large solid background with a
screened area of the same color, a separate negative (double bump) of
just the solid color is necessary.
