Embossing
The size of the
emboss area is included in the base price and includes one area, single level
raised, blind (no ink) emboss. Copy is raised to the maximum lift allowed by the
stock and your copy design. In preparing artwork, avoid type smaller than 8 pt.,
screens, very fine line and tight, intricate detail. Copy needs to be 1/8" away
from all scores. We'll be glad to review your copy and make suggestions prior to
submitting. Please call for an estimate when combining embossing with foil
stamping or printing. Special embossing techniques such as combination,
sculptured, etc. are available.
Foil Stamping
The size of
one foil area is included in the base price. See our Color Chart for standard foil colors. We can order
custom and special effect foil colors. In preparing artwork, avoid type smaller
than 8 pt., screens, very fine lines and tight, intricate detail which can cause
foil to plug. We'll be glad to review your copy and make suggestions prior to
submitting. Please call for an estimate when combining foil stamping with
embossing or printing.
Printing: PMS Colors
The
print base price includes one or two PMS ink color(s), hairline registration of
copy and bleeds. For best results, choose ink colors that are darker than the
stock you select. When necessary, a protective overall gloss varnish will be
applied FREE of charge. Please call for an estimate when combining printing with
embossing or foil stamping.
Printing: Four-Color Process
The four-color process base price is based on customer supplying a
complete set of color separated composite negatives and a color proof. A 150
line screen on white stock produces the best results.
Printing: Heavy Ink
Coverage
Refers to the increased
amount of ink necessary for a solid block of color 80 square inches or larger.
We will notify you of the additional charge prior to production. If necessary, a
flood gloss varnish is applied FREE of charge. When combining an overall
background or large solid area with a screened area of the same color, a
separate negative of just the solid area is necessary. This allows us to run the
screen clean and double bump the solid area.

Laminating
Available in
gloss or matte finish. Bonds a strong, protective layer of plastic to the
sheets. Most durable of the available coatings.
U.V. Coating
A very high gloss finish applied to the sheet like a protective
varnish. Exposure to ultraviolet light cures the finish to a brilliant shine.
Must be applied to an enamel or clay coated paper, such as our Semi-gloss White.
More shiny than varnish, but does not provide the protection of lamination.
Tends to fingerprint on large areas of dark ink (wipes away easily). We also
offer Spot UV to highlight certain areas of your copy design rather than the
full sheet, call for pricing.
Stock
See our Color Chart for stock selection groups. Base stocks
included in the price are 12 pt. C1S Semi-gloss White, 80 lb. Smooth White, and
White Marble Crush. Please choose a stock color lighter than PMS colors.
MarbleCoat stock is not available on all items. Custom order stocks are not a
problem. Just tell us what you need. UV COATING is available on Semi-gloss White
stock only.
